Our processes includes grinding, shot blasting or acid etching so that pores in the concrete substrate are opened. Usually, we use diamond-cup wheel machines to grind down the concrete. We typically find it most effective to use these machines to prepare the floors for maximum adhesion. This form of surface preparation is usually aggressive enough to properly open the pores, without damaging the integrity of the concrete substrate. Then we carefully remove all dirt, dust and other particulates.
